A Curriculum
That Grows With Your Child
Hands-on Montessori learning, brought to life through a fresh weekly theme — built to spark curiosity at every age, from 18 months to kindergarten.
How We Teach
Montessori Method Meets Structured Academics
Our curriculum is built on a simple idea: children learn best when their natural curiosity is given structure, not suppressed by it. Every classroom at Keen Learners Montessori is a carefully prepared environment, stocked with hands-on Montessori materials that let children discover concepts for themselves — while a consistent weekly theme ties each day's activities together into a coherent, memorable learning journey.
This hybrid approach is intentional. Pure Montessori programs can sometimes leave structure entirely up to the child's interest; purely academic programs can rely too heavily on worksheets and rote memorisation. We combine the best of both: child-led exploration within a thoughtfully planned weekly framework, so children build real academic skills (early literacy, numeracy, science, and more) without losing the joy of discovering things for themselves.
A New Theme Every Week
Fresh, Purposeful Learning — Every Single Week
Each week, our classrooms come alive with a brand-new theme that ties together every subject area — language, math, science, art, music, and movement. Children build vocabulary and world knowledge at a remarkable pace, because every activity, story, and material connects back to the same exciting idea.
What your Child will Experience
Six Core Learning Areas in Every Classroom
Regardless of the weekly theme, every Keen Learners classroom is organized around the traditional Montessori curriculum areas — each one designed to build a different aspect of your child's development.

What Your Child Will Learn
Stage by Stage
Our curriculum builds in complexity as children grow, always matched to their developmental “sensitive periods” — the windows when a child is most receptive to acquiring a particular skill.

Ages 18 – 30 Months • Baine Ave Campus
Our toddler curriculum centers on practical life and sensory exploration. Children build coordination and independence through activities like pouring, stacking, and simple self-care tasks, while songs, picture books, and gentle routines develop early language. Weekly themes are simplified into sensory and movement-based activities appropriate for this age. Potty training readiness is woven into daily routines, supported by trained staff.

Ages 2 – 4 Years • Both Campuses
Children move into more structured Montessori work across all six core learning areas. Phonics and letter sounds are introduced through tactile materials; early math concepts are explored using counting beads and number rods; and weekly themes drive group discussions, art projects, and dramatic play. By the end of this stage, most children can recognise letters and numbers, follow multi-step instructions, and work independently for extended periods.

Ages 4 – 5 Years • Both Campuses
Pre-K deepens academic rigor while building the social-emotional skills children need for kindergarten. Children begin blending sounds into words, writing simple sentences, and working with more advanced math materials (addition, subtraction, place value introduction). Weekly themes expand into science experiments, geography projects, and cultural studies, while group activities build collaboration and conflict-resolution skills.

Ages 5 – 6 Years • Both Campuses
Our kindergarten curriculum consolidates reading fluency, writing, and mathematical reasoning, while introducing more independent project work. Children read short books, write short paragraphs, and tackle math problems involving multiple steps. Weekly themes are explored in greater depth — often culminating in a presentation, craft, or class “exhibition” that lets each child showcase what they've learned. Children graduate ready for the structure and expectations of traditional elementary school, with the independence and confidence to thrive there.
